Honest Paws shampoo, dry shampoo or pressure vest: which is the practical first buy?

This review covers three Honest Paws products you wash with or wear: the 5-in-1 shampoo and conditioner, the dry shampoo, and the cotton pressure vest. We ranked them by how obvious the job is and how little it costs to try.

$12.98 · Best first try

5-in-1 shampoo

8oz rinse-out wash. Short plant-based ingredient list. The simplest way to see if the coat agrees.

$20.47–$30.97

Dry shampoo

No-rinse foam for between baths. Useful, but roughly double the wet shampoo per ounce.

$30.99–$32.99

Pressure vest

A cotton garment, not a wash. Fit matters more than packaging. Skip it unless you want apparel.

Honest Paws sells a wide catalog. This page only reviews the three items whose job you can see: wash the coat, clean between baths, or put a snug cotton layer on the torso. If you cannot say the job in one sentence, it does not belong in this ranking.

Start with the 8oz shampoo. It is the simplest way to find out whether the coat and skin agree with the formula.

How we compared

We used public listings as of 1 September 2026. One-time list prices: shampoo $12.98 (8oz) and about $17.45 (16oz); dry shampoo $20.47 to $30.97; vest $30.99 to $32.99. This page does not sell anything.

1. 5-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner — best first try

8oz $12.98 · 16oz about $17.45

A rinse-out coat wash with a short plant-based surfactant list, oatmeal and aloe, and USDA Certified Biobased status on the current listing. Five scents, including a lighter option. Choose based on how dirty the coat is, not on a long list of cosmetic benefits.

Watch-outs

“Fragrance” and “preservative” are not always named. Patch test, keep it out of eyes, and stop if itching increases. The company states it is suitable from twelve weeks; still watch the first bath.

2. Dry shampoo — between baths, not a replacement

6.3oz to 16oz · $20.47 to $30.97

A no-rinse foam: work it into a dry coat, wipe, let it dry, brush. Useful for dogs that hate the tub, or for winter. The listing is also labeled for cats. You pay more per ounce than the wet wash.

3. Pressure vest — only if you want a garment

Small, medium, large · $30.99 to $32.99

A cotton pressure garment. Measure the dog. It should be snug, not restrictive. Introduce it on an ordinary day at home. Never leave a distressed dog unsupervised in clothing. A vest you already own is not an automatic reason to switch.

  • Dry shampoo costs more per ounce
  • Vest fit and clothing tolerance
  • Keep wash out of eyes and ears

Verdict

Best first try: the 8oz 5-in-1 shampoo. Best companion: dry shampoo if you already like the wet wash. Skip unless you want apparel: the pressure vest. This page is a sponsored Honest Paws wash-and-vest review. It is not the official brand store and nothing can be purchased here.
